Ara works with adults who are facing anxiety, trauma, chronic illness or long-COVID, and are seeking a life free from the limitations these challenges bring. She also works with persons in the LGBTQ+ community, of which she is a member.
She teaches a contemplative writing technique which can be used as a spiritual or mindfulness practice in support of the healing process. She is also a visual artist and received her undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Art.
Ara has an M.S. in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from Illinois Institute of Technology. She has been with Mind Body Connections under the supervision of Stacey Hurst since January of 2021 and sits for her LPC licensure in July 2022.
