Stacey Hurst is a dance/movement therapist and a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC). Since 1996, Stacey has worked with adolescents and adults on issues related to eating disorders, trauma, emotional regulation, body image, life transitions and relationship challenges.

Stacey holds a bachelor of fine art (BFA) degree in dance from the University of Illinois and a graduate degree (MA) in dance/movement therapy from Columbia College Chicago. A licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) since 1998, Stacey has continued her advanced training by earning a graduate Laban certificate in movement analysis, and has completed the Level 1 training in the Internal Family Systems psychotherapeutic model.

Stacey is a member of the American Dance Therapy Association, serving on the board of directors since 2003. Stacey maintains a private practice at Clarus Center in Warrenville, IL and teaches at Columbia College Chicago in the dance/movement therapy and counseling department.

Stacey works within a safe, accepting environment where she guides and teaches her clients to move calmly and confidently in their daily life, discover healthier ways to relate to themselves and others, and tap into the wisdom and power of the body's natural healing resources. This process reconnects the body, mind and spirit, fully integrating the “self” to support optimal health and well-being.
